Dr. Mirza Baig was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics. He went on to obtain a medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where he also completed six years of training in Urologic Surgery and Kidney Transplantation.

Dr. Baig enjoys treating all adult and pediatric Urologic conditions. He especially has a passion for Urologic Cancer, Female Urology, Prostate Disorders, and Stone Disease. His extensive training has prepared him for the simplest to the most complex conditions and procedures, including the latest minimally-invasive surgical techniques. During his residency he went on sabbatical to learn from world-renowned Urologic surgeons at the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. His enthusiasm for utilizing the newest in cutting-edge treatments led him to pursue further training in robotic prostate and kidney surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, where these techniques were pioneered.

Dr. Baig strives to advance modern medicine even beyond our community by way of training the next generation of Urologists and pursuing his research interests. His most recent research involving minimally-invasive laser therapy for augmented bladders has won several awards and has been published in the Journal of Urology. In addition, Dr. Baig prides himself on his unique skill in teaching complex open and minimally-invasive surgical techniques to residents at the University of Toledo Medical Center, The Toledo Hospital, and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Dr. Baig is married with two children and enjoys mountain biking, golf, and mentoring local youth in his spare time. He is very excited about bringing his advanced training to our Northwest Ohio community while providing cutting-edge and traditional treatments with compassion and a personal touch.
