Dr. Mirza Baig was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics. He went on to obtain a medical degree from the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine, where he also completed six years of training in Urologic Surgery and Kidney Transplantation. During his residency he went on sabbatical to learn from world-renowned Urologic surgeons at the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. He then pursued further training in advanced robotic prostate and kidney surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, where these techniques were once pioneered.

Dr. Baig treats all adult urologic conditions including prostate disorders, stone disease, and incontinence. He is especially passionate about urologic cancer and robotic surgery. He has performed well over 1000 robotic surgeries for all types of urologic cancer (prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal, ureter). He has served as the Director of Robotic Surgery at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center for over a decade, which remains the most robust robotic surgery program in the region. In addition, Dr. Baig prides himself on his ability in teaching complex surgical techniques to urology residents and surgeons throughout the greater Toledo area.

Most importantly, Dr. Baig holds himself to the highest standards of quality and strives to provide his patients the best possible outcomes. His caring and compassionate personality allows him to be uniquely sensitive to the needs of his patients, especially those facing serious illnesses such as cancer. He aims to provide his patients the type of care that he would want for himself and his family.

Dr. Baig is married with three children and enjoys mountain biking, basketball, travelling and spending time with family. He remains dedicated in offering his services to our Northwest Ohio community.

Dr. Baig currently sees patients at our McCord Road, Isaac Streets Drive, and St. Vincent’s Specialty Clinic locations. He regularly operates at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Flower Hospital, The Toledo Hospital, Mercy Regency Surgery Center, and The Toledo Clinic Surgery Center.
